There will be an exciting musical lineup for the weekend. Thursday's Taste of the Caribbean Gala Dinner will feature Maracachafa playing sounds of the islands. Music for the main Seafood Fest event will run continuously from 6pm to midnight on Friday and noon to midnight on Saturday (with a short break during the Bridgefest fireworks on Saturday night at dusk). The entire musical lineup and performance times can be viewed here.
Worried about road construction in downtown Houghton? Don't be! The City of Houghton reminds everyone that downtown businesses remain open for business, even in the blocks under construction. Parking at the Kestner Waterfront Park is limited, so please consider using one of the parking lots in downtown Houghton. Houghton City Transit Buses will run along Lakeshore Drive from downtown to the waterfront park every ten minutes and will pick you up for free! Just wave to hail and flag them down! Buses will run from 5pm to midnight on Friday and from 11am to midnight on Saturday.
Would you like to volunteer at Seafood Fest? We can't make this event happen without the help of community members like you. If you would like to volunteer, click here and tell us when you would be available Thursday or Friday evening, or on Saturday between 11am and midnight.
